In this Heli the cyclic servos are arranged flat on a carbon servoplate with their arm axis inward towards the mainshaft.

I have used Hitec HS55 servos which are commonly used on the 3D Pro

The servoplate is part of the upper bearing block assembly and is glued in place with JBweld, a small locking collar also holds the servoplate in place.

The small cutout at the front of the servoplate is to allow easy access to the rear motor mount fixing.

This picture shows the servos fixed in position with servo tape.

To begin with I used poor quality tape to allow ease of removal after mechanically centering servo arms on first fire up of the electronics. This cannot be done with this layout without removing two of the servos.

With the servos in place the swashplate can be hooked up

The head can then be trial fitted

The tail servo is an Ashtek digital, it is fitted to the right hand side frame as can be seen here.

This saves a small amount of weight and also makes for a very rigid mount for the servo.

The tail pitch lever is linked to this servo via a carbon link.
